Post-Greetings from Wisconsin
Oh, Eau Claire, we were reunited! First, I was here: Booked Eau Claire 2026.
What a journey it was to get there. From cancelled flight, to standby, to rearranging hotels, to a lost box of books (I'm coming for you, USPS!) and who knows what comes next, I've am grateful I was accompanied by my sister. Yes, I can do hard things by myself, and having someone to help me drum up sales for my books when I have such a hard time talking about myself is incredibly helpful.
I'm going to keep this quick because I want to get to work on my books, but here are some basic updates about my WIPs, where I'll be, and where you can find me!
Currents WIPs
- Sequel to Avoiding Aiden is halfway done! I'm having a ton of fun and getting inspired by the fact Avoiding Aiden will be performed as a play in my hometown next year!
- Second book of the Ancient Wonders series is completed and with my publisher! I'll be getting edits back and going from there, but I've already done a soft start on the third book (two paragraphs! Woohoo)! Keep an eye out for my announcement of the publication date of The Blood Branch, Ancient Wonders Book 2!
- I'm still plugging along with planning my YA fantasy series. I'm thinking very seriously about turning them into graphic novels. I think the story will be solid as a series of graphic novels, as long as I find the right artist willing to help. My stick figures are ashamed of their existence, but I can absolutely write for graphic novels.
- I also have ideas about other books, including other romances, and, despite my self-assuredness of being DONE with my science fiction series, Fragments, my brain is still like, "But what if...?" Ah, the joys/burdens of being a creative soul.
Upcoming Book Events
I'll be attending Life, the Universe, and Everything (LTUE) in Provo from February 11th-13th of 2027, but attending as myself to get a feel for how the whole thing works. Maybe I'll apply for a book booth next year...? Decisions, decisions!
I will also be at Storymakers 2027 from May 13-15, 2027. I'm ultra excited about this because I'm also serving on the committee and hoping to get the opportunity to teach about addiction, something a lot of people can write about OR not think about writing when their characters go through trauma things.

Other Updates
Let's play two truths and a lie! Let's see...
Number one: I'm going to see Sara Bareilles live for the first time in my life this year.
Number two: I'm living a literal 'why choose' romance by now being in a MMM throuple.
Number three: Giraffes pick their noses with their tongues.
Okay, what do you think? WRONG! All three of the above statements are true, which means I still lied! So there. 🤣
I'm very excited about the first two, and even the third is something I find so fascinating, since giraffes are my favorite animal.
That's all for this round of updates! I'm glad I finally sat down to type out all the updates. It's reminding me that I enjoy writing a lot, and sometimes I do need that reminder. Which, it's odd, because if I love writing so much, you'd think I wouldn't need a reminder. But then things like LIFE get in the way, and then I feel miserable, and I wonder why, and it's because I'm not writing.
